Garcinia Cambogia for Weight Loss
The Garcinia Cambogia Fruit
Most people had never heard of Garcinia cambogia until it was featured in the Dr. Oz show. Largely unknown in Western countries until recently, the Garcinia cambogia fruit belongs to the Clusiaceae herbal family which has more than 400 species. The Garcinia mangostana, or the purple mangosteen, is among them. To me, the Garcinia cambogia looks like a baby pumpkin the size of an orange. The fruit is native to India, Sri-Lanka, Pakistan, Indonesia, and in tropical African countries as well as in some parts of Australia and the Polynesian islands. It is also often referred to as Brindle Berry, Gambooge, and Assam fruit.
Weight Loss Benefits of Garcinia
Garcinia Cambogia is abundant in hydroxcitric acid. This acid facilitates the weight reduction process. It prevents the body from building up and accumulating fat, when a person eats a lot of carbohydrates or any other fatty food products. It also makes a person a lot less hungry. As a person ingests, there is a time lag between his or her brain acknowledging the fact that the stomach is full. Hydroxcitric acid diminishes this delay, resulting in the person eating less or just the sufficient amount. It admonishes overeating or binge eating. It encourages the body to eat just the adequate amount of food at proper intervals and discourages a person from overindulging.
The intake of Garcinia Cambogia should be accompanied by a healthy lifestyle. Proper exercising, eating healthy and timely meals, avoiding fast foods or take aways and debarring alcohol, tobacco and narcotics will be very subservient in reaching the desired result.
